89th Birthday Report

It's Sunday evening and the birthday activities are over. Everyone, including mother, had a great time. Susan arrived yesterday mid-afternoon. Before the play in the evening we picked up the Lesters and went to everyone's favorite pizza place . . . Papparazzi's. Good pizza. The show, Harvey, was one of the best we've seen at the Artisan Theater and the star was a friend of mothers and ours. She was outstanding in her role so that made the show even better. After the show we went to the Lesters for a while. They had flowers for mother. Sunday we went to lunch at Fadi's, a Mediterranean place we'd been to before with mother. Had a good lunch. After lunch we spent a while shopping Ikea. We ended up at home for the real celebration . . . four cartons of Braum's Ice Cream . . . with candles on top. (Not 89 candles, just an "8" candle and a "9" candle. Mother blew them out successfully.) Julie brought a tray of homemade sputnut donuts. Good stuff . . . and a good birthday celebration. I have replaced the reunion photo slideshow with a few more birthday photos. Sorry for temporarily monopolizing the blog with birthday photos, but it's been an important occasion and I think it merits the space.

  1. Sounds like a very nice birthday. Any day with Ikea is a good day; add Mediterranean food and ice cream and it's just phenomenal! Glad to hear you all had fun
